The purpose of the Link-Up for Transformation is to accelerate development of public awareness of the unfolding Transformation and to foster support for this process.

By “The Transformation” we mean the shifting of consciousness to an awareness of the human potential and the interdependence of life on Earth.  Intrinsic to this awareness is the recognition of the need for whole-centeredness, in which the good of one is seen to depend on the good of all.  Accordingly, structures need to geared to incentivize cooperation, aiming for all-wins rather than win-lose outcomes. 

This evolutionary process is underway but is sorely challenged by the existing consciousness and social structures which are based on self-centered, dominator models of thought and action.  Human society is hanging in the balance in a race for survival:  “transform or die”.  Which way we go may depend on how many people rise up and lend their support to the process of creating this shift of consciousness.

To facilitate the development of a consensus that we can all get behind, we have developed a set of foundational principles for the “reinvention of society”.  These twelve Principles of Global Transformation represent the common denominators behind the efforts of the myriad of personal and social transformation organizations.  To join the Link-Up is to affirm agreement that this is the kind of world we want, thus demonstrating an enormous constituency for Transformational change.

It is our sense that the world described by these twelve Principles is what vast numbers of people on Earth really want but have not had hope of bringing about.  By the awakening of hope, we feel that change can be accelerated, as people recognize that their efforts can have an impact.  Many may thus become motivated to leave behind denial and absorption in less-meaningful activity and funnel their energies instead into what may really be “The Only Game in Town”—saving the Earth and human society.  Without these, there is little value in anything else.

A key contribution which the Link-Up seeks to make is to bring to public awareness the fact that a whole phenomenon of Transformation is taking place, so that people can grasp the Big Picture:

That not only are there a large number of people doing good works, but that a fundamental shift in society is in the making.  In reality, huge numbers of people on the planet are all supporting a common set of goals—even though their particular areas of focus may be different.

So, despite all the bad news on television and dismaying events around us, something very big and very positive is happening.  And we can all take part—in many different ways.  There is no need any longer for anyone to be isolated or bored.  The means is at hand NOW for anyone who wants to join in to link up and give energy to some form of valuable work to help transform the planet.  Even the simple act of affirming support for the Principles is in itself a contribution.  Through the Link-Up for Transformation we hope to help people to connect up and be part of this process.
