In late 1982, well into my second year as a student of Conscious Evolution, I had the good fortune to meet Barbara Marx Hubbard.  She had by that time dedicated many years to the study of humankind’s past and future and had created numerous large events to bring people together for breakthroughs in conscious communication and mutual understanding.

Her joy and excitement in describing the Evolutionary Spiral, and the higher levels of Consciousness we are moving towards, deeply inspired our group of students at the Institute for Conscious Evolution in San Francisco. 

One evening, at the end of a talk before a large group, she was asked how we were going to get from “here” (the 1982 cold-war world) to the new future she envisioned.  With a bright twinkle in her eye she replied:  “WE’RE GOING TO ALL LINK UP!”

Those words went through me like a lightening bolt.  I felt I had just heard the mission that would direct my life from that moment on.

Long story short:  after nearly 20 years of holding the vision and taking the steps that I could, at last now in the Spring of 2002 all the pieces—and the people—have come together to make possible this website and the beginning of the ever-expanding endeavor this promises to be.
